PBR Teams will hold its 2025 New Rider Draft on May 20 at ACL Live at Moody Theater in Austin, followed by a concert from Shane Smith & The Saints.

The draft, a fan-ticketed event beginning at 7 PM CT, will see all 10 teams – including reigning champion Austin Gamblers – select from a deep field of new talent.

“When we took part in the inaugural 2022 PBR Teams Draft, we knew this was an event we would want to bring to Austin,” Austin Gamblers’ CEO JJ Gottsch said in a news release. “To have it happen the year after we won our first championship, hosting it at ACL Live, will be very special for our team and fans.”

The Arizona Ridge Riders hold the No. 1 overall pick while the Kansas City Outlaws hold picks No. 3, 4 and 9. The draft will be three rounds and a total of 30 picks.

Among the top prospects in this year’s drafts are Brazilians Jhon Carlos Moreira, Alex da Silva Oliveira, Elzisclay Rodrigues dos Santos, Eudimar Novais, and Riquelme Silva dos Santos and Aussie brothers Macaulie and Boston Leather.

Past first overall picks have included Sage Kimzey and John Crimber.
