Here Are The 20 Bull Riders Heading to the Semifinals in RodeoHouston
Simply put, many bull riders rode won bull and advanced with $3,000. Unless, of course, you were Trevor Reiste…
Here’s how all 20 made it back.
Super Series 1
Mason Moody – $3,000: Moody was the only one to ride two bulls in the first Super Series, making an 80-point ride in Rounds 1 and 3.
Brody Yeary – $3,000: Yeary won the first bull riding performance of the entire rodeo with 81.5 points on Cervi Championship’s Newsflash in Super Series 1, Round 1.
Stetson Wright – $3,000: Wright’s 85.5-point ride on Rocky Mountain Rodeo’s Spilled Communion tied for the highest marked ride in Super Series 1.
TJ Gray – $3,000: Gray was the cowboy Wright tied with as he rode Broken Dreams in Round 3 to secure advancement after entering with $0 through the first two rounds.
Super Series 2
Wacey Schalla – $5,000: Schalla was the only one to ride two bulls in this Super Series. He was 80 in Round 1 and 88 on Bailey’s Unjustified in Round 3.
Scottie Knapp – $3,000: Knapp won Round 2 with 88 points on Cervi Championship’s Anthrax.
Lane Vaughan – $3,000: Vaughan edged Schalla by a half-point with an 80.5 to win Round 1.
Jackson Ward – $2,000: Three bull riders made the whistle each round in Super Series 2 and the only one to not win a round and advance was Ward.
Super Series 3
Trevor Reiste – $9,000: The only clean sweep in any event in Houston belonged to Reiste and it was well deserved. He was 86.5 points or better on all three rides.
Maverick Potter – $2,000: The rest of those advancing from Super Series 3 were Reiste’s runner-ups. Potter was 83.5 in Round 2.
Clayton Sellars – $2,000: Sellars’ second place finish came with an 83-point ride in Round 3.
Trey Benton III – $2,000: TBIII was 75 points on his lone qualified ride, but all that matters is that it was enough to advance.
Super Series 4
Rawley Johnson – $3,000: Much like the bottom part of Super Series 3, this group came down to who was the best on one bull. Johnson won Round 1 with 82.5 points Generations Pro Rodeo’s Rise Up.
Tyler Bingham – $3,000: Bingham was 79 points on his Round 2 winning ride.
Luke Mast – $3,000: Mast was the one who ended up with the guitar after an 89-point ride on Hot Rocks to win Round 3. That’s the highest score of the rodeo so far.
Fulton Rutland – $2,000: Rutland, the only non Go-Round winner to advance, was 86.5 points in Round 3. It was the second highest score of the Super Series.
Super Series 5
Tristen Hutchings – $5,000: Hutchings covered his first two bulls with 82 points for second in Round 1 and 88 points to win Round 2.
Jake Gardner – $4,000: Gardner won Round 1 with 83.5 points and then took third in Round 3 with 77.
Hayes Weight – $3,000: Weight entered Round 3 with $0 to his name but rode Flight Risk for 82 points to pick up $3,000.
Hawk Whitt – $2,000: In the same boat as Weight, Whitt was 79 in Round 3, enough to get him through.
