A big bronc riding in Montana, a Playoff Rodeo in California, and a small Texas rodeo that saw top notch competition delivered a majority of this week’s Headliners and Hidden Gems.
Headliner – Dawson Hay: For the second straight year, Hay swept the Miles City Xtreme Broncs. He won over $17,000 for rides of 89 and 90 points and has now made five straight rides of 86 points or better. Hay is No. 2 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings with $123,729 and has won six of the 12 rodeos he has entered in the 2025 regular season.
Hidden Gem – Luke Thrash: Thrash won two bareback riding titles over the weekend at the Franklin Rodeo in Tennessee and the Deep South PRCA Rodeo in Louisiana. In Franklin, he rode J Bar J’s Delta Hawk for 88 points, which is his highest marked ride of the year by three points.
Headliner – Tanner Tomlinson/Travis Graves: Through the first two months of the season, Tomlinson/Graves have cemented themselves as the second best pair in the PRCA and they have now won three of the last six rodeos they have entered. In Killeen, they banked just over $3,000 with a 4.1-second run, their fastest since a 3.4 at the San Angelo Cinch Chute Out.
Hidden Gem – Canyon Bass: Bass has just two qualified ride of the season, but the one he made over the weekend was the best of his professional career. He was 91 points aboard Andrews Rodeo’s Row Tag in Killeen, it was the first 90+ Point Ride there in more than a decade.
Headliner – Cory Solomon: The fastest tie-down roping time the previous three seasons at Rodeo Killeen was 8.9 seconds. Cory Solomon won with a 7.1 over the weekend, which was his fastest run in over a year. Solomon is No. 12 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings and has made six runs in the 7s this season.
Hidden Gem – Tom Webster: Staying in Killeen one more time, the 30-year-old saddle bronc rider was the champion with a season-high 88 points on Andrews Rodeo’s Lil Brother. He won about $3,000 and has cracked the Top 50 in the PRCA World Standings.
Headliner – Gus Gaillard: Gaillard took second to Dawson Hay in both rounds in Miles City and it was a very nice payday for the 21-year-old who could make his first NFR in December. Gaillard was 88 and 88.5 on his two horses to win $12,000 and move from No. 18 to No. 14 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings.
Hidden Gem – Cole Eiguren/Breck Ward: Eiguren/Ward placed in both rounds but were powered to victory by a 4.4-second run that won Round 2. At 10. 4 on two, they won the Average by 1.3 seconds and Eiguren double dipped by winning the all-around title as well.
