Keyshawn Whitehorse won Round 1 last week at the PBR’s Unleash the Best event in Houston with 89.25 points and was a little better as the last bull rider out in Section 6 on Friday night in Pittsburgh when he rode Eyes on Me for 89.75 points.

Whitehorse was well clear of the rest of the field as second place in Round 1 was a three-way tie at 87 points between Jose Vitor Leme, Dawson Branton, Guilherme Valleiras. The round win earned Whitehorse another 28 UTB points heading into the final two rounds on Saturday.

His winning ride also served as a walkoff victory for the Arizona Ridge Riders over the Oklahoma Wildcatters at the Monster Energy Team Challenge. The final score was 258-254.5.

Whitehorse was feeling the Pittsburgh Steelers spirit afterward. He was cheered on before former standout defensive linemen James Harrison and Brett Keisel and triumphantly waved a Terrible Towel that was thrown on the dirt before his interview with Kate Harrison.

“I love that moment, trained for it my whole life,” he said. “I’d like to thank the people here in the Steel City for supporting me on that last ride.”
