PBR Anaheim concluded Sunday with the Missouri Thunder, Nashville Stampede, and Austin Gamblers all finishing a perfect 3-0.

Every team learned something about themselves last weekend, with some teams feeling better than others.

The Thunder are feeling better than any other team, though, as they became the new No.1 team this weekend.

Here’s what you missed last weekend at PBR Anaheim.

Missouri Thunder:

The Missouri Thunder finally eclipsed the Nashville Stampede and have become the new No. 1 team in the League.

The Thunder won all three of their games in Anaheim and have now won 11 of their last 12 games. It’s the third time this season the Thunder have finished an event undefeated and the fourth consecutive event they have scored at least eight riders.

The Thunder cruised to all three wins, with their opponents combining to ride just 1-of-15.

Paulo Eduardo Rossetto rode all three bulls for the fourth straight event and extended his historic ride streak to 13 in a row. Rossetto was 90+ twice in Anaheim, and he now has five 90+ scores this year.

He remains 2nd in the MVP race, but caught up to Jose Vitor Leme’s ride total of 17. Leme’s 13-bull ridestreak snapped on Saturday, which allowed Rossetto to match Leme at 17-for-20 on the season. Rossetto is now just 2.55 points behind 1st place.

Despite the Thunder scoring eight rides, Rossetto was the only rider to have covered more than one bull.

Five other riders scored for the Thunder, and Macaulie Leather had the most impactful ride of them all. He was 93.35 on King Tut in Game 1 against the Cowboys for the best ride of the Team Series season by over 1.5 points. It’s a new career-high for Leather, and his fourth 90+ score of the season.

Missouri now has the most rides (48) and the most points (4247.05) in the league, but remains tied with the Nashville Stampede at 14-6.

Austin Gamblers:

The Austin Gamblers had their best event of the season in Anaheim, finishing a perfect 3-0 for the first time this season.

They improved to 11-9, in 4th place, and got above .500 for the first time this season. Furthermore, they scored eight for the second straight event and have now matched the Nashville Stampede at 47 rides each.

All three of the Gamblers’ wins were tight, with two of their three opponents matching their ride total. The Gamblers won those games, Game 2 and 3, by .65 and 3.55 points, respectively.

Three Gamblers covered 2-of-3, including Jose Vitor Leme, whose historic ride streak came to an end on Saturday. He covered his first bull and extended his ride streak to 13 in a row, one away from matching his career-long streak of 14, but was bucked off his next opportunity. He came back like nothing happened, though, and covered OptiWize Rescue Story for 88.45 points in Game 3. Leme remains the MVP race leader for another week, but only leads by 2.55 points.

Dalton Kasel and Kaique Pacheco covered 2-of-3 this weekend after entering Anaheim on season-long buckoff streaks. Kasel and Pacheco are 31st and 30th in the MVP race with six rides each this season.

The Gamblers may have the second-fewest average points per ride at 87.14, but are just a game behind the Cowboys for 3rd place.

Nashville Stampede:

The Nashville Stampede put their foot back on the gas pedal in Anaheim, finishing undefeated for the third time this season. It’s the first time Nashville has finished an event positively since Stampede Days.

However, they lost the 1st-place position they held since the second event in Oklahoma to the Missouri Thunder. Both teams have a 14-6 record, but the Stampede now trail by 93 points.

The Stampede scored 7-of-15 and won two of their two games three rides to one. They narrowly won 86.6 – 85.75 against the Wildcatters in Game 2.

None of the Stampede’s top four riders led the team this weekend; instead, Gustavo Luiz da Silva was a perfect 3-for-3. He’s covered 7-of-15 this season and is now ranked 22nd in the MVP race, two rides away from catching teammate Daniel Feitosa. No other team has more than four riders ranked in the top 25.

Rogério Venâncio replaced Riquelmi Silva as 4th in the MVP race. Silva was an uncharacteristic 0-for-2 and fell to 10th, while Venâncio rode 2-of-3 and improved to 11-for-20 on the season.

Alan de Souza and Feitosa added a ride each to cap off an excellent weekend for the Stampede.

Florida Freedom:

The Florida Freedom bounced back with a 2-1 weekend in Anaheim after finishing Thunder Days 0-3.

Their only loss came by just 3.55 points against the Austin Gamblers in Game 3. It was the only game that Austin Richardson didn’t score in. He finished 2-for-3 and was the lone scorer for the Freedom in their Game 2 win.

Richardson has ridden 10-of-20 this season and jumped into 7th place in the MVP race after Anaheim.

Alex Cerqueira was also 2-for-3 and has now covered four of his last seven. He’s now 21st in the MVP race and has covered 8-of-19 this season.

Ethan Winckler scored his second ride of the season, and Vinicius Rodrigues Pereira scored his first. Both rides, though, came in the Freedom’s only loss of the weekend.

The Freedom dug themselves out of 8th place into 7th with a 9-11 record and have the second-best average points per ride at 88.60 in the league, just .01 points behind the Texas Rattlers.

Arizona Ridge Riders:

The Arizona Ridge Riders had a disappointing 1-2 finish in Anaheim and fell to 6th place with a 10-10 record.

Arizona was outmatched 265.95 – 88.2 in Game 1 against the Stampede, where Everton Natan da Silva was the only rider to score for the Ridge Riders. He finished the weekend a perfect 3-for-3.

Da Silva and Vitor Manoel Dias each scored in Game 2, but were just .65 point short of the Austin Gamblers.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters failed to score in Game 3, allowing da Silva nd Eduardo Aparecido to secure the win with a pair of 89+ point rides.

Da Silva has now ridden 11-of-16 this season, and his perfect performance shot him into 5th in the MVP race. Besides Leme and Rossetto, da Silva has the best ride percentage in the league at 68.75%.

He’s now the only Ridge Rider ranked in the top 15.

It was a weekend to forget for Arizona, and for the time being, they’re stuck in standings purgatory.

New York Mavericks:

The New York Mavericks finished 1-2 and are now just a game away from escaping last place in the league standings.

The Mavericks are 5-15 while the Outlaws are 6-14, and both teams have 34 rides.

Bob Mitchell came up big for the Mavericks in his first event since Wildcatter Days in early August. He scored 2-of-3 and tripled his season ride total.

Mitchell and Leanardo Castro scored in their Game 1 loss against the Gamblers.

Not a single Maverick scored in their Game 2 loss against the Thunder.

However, Mitchell, Leandro Zampollo, and Marco Rizzo all scored in their Game 3 win over the Cowboys. Zampollo was a season-high 89.05 on King Cobra, and Rizzo was 90.1 on Rankenstein for his third career 90+ point ride.

Zampollo and Rizzo had missed their last three and four bulls, respectively, before getting a confidence booster on Sunday.

The Mavericks got one win closer to getting out of 10th place and will continue their campaign next weekend at Cowboy Days.

Texas Rattlers:

The Texas Rattlers followed up their undefeated Thunder Days with a 1-2 finish in Anaheim.

Brady Fielder, Daniel Keeping, and João Ricardo Vieira each scored in their lone Game 1 win against the Outlaws.

Fielder scored again in Game 2, along with Lucas Divino, but they were 1.55 points short of the Cowboys.

Not a single Rattler scored in Game 3, leaving their overall record at 11-9 and in 5th place.

Fielder remains 3rd in the MVP race, with 12-of-20 rides of the season. Keeping is now in 8th, and Vieira is now 25th.

Divino has been a nice pickup for the Rattlers, having ridden 2-of-4 since being traded for, but will need to be relied on more if Texas wants to maintain success and not be beholden to their own ebbs and flows.

Carolina Cowboys:

The Carolina Cowboys were tied with the Stampede and Thunder atop the standings at 11-6 each entering Anaheim. The Cowboys couldn’t keep up with those teams, though, and fell to 12-8 after their first 1-2 event showing this season.

The Cowboys scored just four rides, two belonging to Thiago Salgado. Salgado was the Cowboys’ lone scorer in both of their losses. He was a season-high 91 on Fury in Game 3, though. Salgado overtook teammate Guilherme Valleiras in the MVP race, now 12th, with 9-of-20 rides this season.

Jess Lockwood and Valleiras each scored in their Game 2 win over the Rattlers. Lockwood was 88.1 on Cramer for his fourth score of the season. He’s now 4-for-9 and in 37th place.

Valleiras was a game-high 89.35 on Cracky Chan, but finished the event 1-for-3 and is now 9-for-15 this season and 14th in the MVP race.

The Cowboys’ exciting trio of Keyshawn Whitehorse, Clay Guiton, and Adriano Salgado were a combined 0-for-5 in Anaheim.

Until those three can contribute alongside Thiago Salgado and Valleiras, the Cowboys won’t reach the top of the standings again.

The Cowboys remain in third place with a 12-8 record and are now closer to 6th place than they are to 1st.

Kansas City Outlaws:

The Kansas City Outlaws finished 0-3 for the second straight weekend and are now on a seven-game losing streak.

Sandro Batista scored two of the team’s four rides and finished 2-of-3. Heitor Santos Ferreira and Eric Henrique Domingos contributed another ride each.

Batista had bucked off four in a row heading into Anaheim, and nearly slipped outside the top 10 in the MVP race. He’s now covered 11-of-20 and is back in 6th place.

Domingos has the best ride of the team in Anaheim, scoring 88.3 on Steppin’ Out as their lone scorer in Game 3.

At 6-14 on the season, the Outlaws are now just a game away from last place

Oklahoma Wildcatters:

The Oklahoma Wildcatters finished an undefeated 3-0 for the first time this season at the last event. This weekend, however, they reverted to 0-3 and had the worst event of any team this season, riding just 2-of-15.

They scored just 171.4 points as a team; no one else had scored less than 200 this season.

Eduardo Matos scored both of the Wildcatters’ rides in Anaheim. He was 85.65 on Pop My Collar in Game 1, and 85.75 on Smooth Violation in Game 2. No Wildcatters scored in Game 3. Matos improved to 15th in the MVP race and has ridden 9-of-15.

Kaiden Loud was 0-for-3 and fell all the way to 27th.

The Wildcatters spiraled back to 8th place from 7th with an 8-12 record.
