There is only one chance left to claim spots in the Semifinal after the conclusion of Super Series IV on Friday night.

In bareback riding, it came down to traveling partners and California natives Clayton Biglow and RC Landingham with Landingham ultimately winning the Super Series thanks to his 86-point ride on Womanizer in Round 3 on Friday night. He won two of the three Go-Rounds and advanced to the Semifinals of RodeoHouston for the fifth straight year.

For Biglow’s part, he made three straight rides of 84 points or better and finished with $5,875 to Landingham’s $6,500. Mason Stuller and Cooper Cooke also advanced with $2,625 and $2,500 respectively.

Every steer wrestler who advanced was within $1,000 of each other and Chance Howard led the way with $4,750 without a round win, instead notching a fourth place finish and two second place finishes. The three round winners — Stetson Jorgensen, Don Payne, and Ryan Shuckburgh — all moved on as well.

In team roping, Mason Appleton/Sid Sporer surged to the front of Super Series IV, going from fourth to first after a Round 3 win that helped them finish with $5,500 apiece. Korbin Rice/Cooper Freeman finished the Super Series with a first and second-place finish in the last two rounds to win $5,000 of their own while Brady Tryan/Paden Bray and Brye Crites/Ross Ashford rounded out those moving on.

Kade Bruno was the lone American to move on in rodeo’s classic event, besting a trio of Canadian NFR qualifier. Bruno won Rounds 1 and 3 with rides of 85.5 and 84.5 points and tallied a total of $6,500. He has finished in the Top 10 in Houston in two of the last three years.

Behind him was four-time World Champion Zeke Thurston, who won Round 2 with 86 points on Dough Boy. Kole Ashbacher finished in the Top 6 in all three rounds to grab $3,375 and Dawson Hay got the fourth spot with three checks of his own totaling $2,750.

Quade Hiatt banked $6,000 to the lead the way in Super Series IV in the tie-down roping, finishing things off with an 8.8 to win Round 3. Hiatt also won Round 1 with an 8.7, pair that with Tom Crouse’s 8.6, and all three rounds in the Super Series were won with a time faster than 9.0 seconds for the second time in a row.

Crouse took second in Super Series IV with $5,000, while Marty Yates and Seth Hall also advanced.

Acey Pinkston is looking to make her second straight Shootout in the barrel racing and took a big first step by winning two rounds in Super Series IV to win $6,750. Helen Nowasad was right behind with $6,500, making them the first pair of athletes to win more than $6,000 in the same Super Series in 2025. The other Semifinalists were Mackenzie Mayes and Keyla Costa.

Jordan Spears topped the bull riding leaderboard as the only one to cover a pair, going for 87 to win Round 1 and 83 to split Round 3 with Trey Kimzey. Kimzey, Ernie Courson Jr., and Creek Young also did enough to get through.

In breakaway roping, Rylee George’s Round 1 win powered her to a $6,000 Super Series while Round 2 winner Madalyn Richards and Round 3 winner Hali Williams slotted behind her at $5,750 and $3,500 respectively. With checks in all three rounds, Sawyer Gilbert got the last spot with $3,000.
