See The Semifinal Steer Wrestlers from RodeoHouston

The bulldogging seemingly got a little faster with each passing Super Series and ended with two of the best rounds we have seen through the first two weeks of action. That means it should be a thrilling Semifinal steer wrestling.

Below are the 20 athletes competing.

Super Series 1

Tyler Waguespack – $4,250: Waguespack picked up a majority of his money to win Super Series 1 with a 4.4-second run to win Round 2. He is looking to make it two straight Texas Swing Finals after getting there in San Antonio.

Kyle Irwin – $3,625: Irwin made runs three straight runs of 6.4 seconds or faster and ironically as he got faster his place in the round got worse. He was 6.4 for second in Round 1, 6.0 for third in Round 2 and 5.9 for fourth in Round 3.

JD Struxness – $3,500: Struxness made $3,000 of $3,500 with a 4.7 for second in Round 2 and a 5.7 for third in Round 3.

Dalton Massey – $3,500: Massey, who won here in 2023, won $3,000 for his Round 1 win.

Super Series 2

Eli Lord – $5,000: Lord finished with a 5.7 and 5.0 to take second in the final two rounds after a third place finish in Round 1.

Travis Munro – $4,000: Munro’s marquee run was a 4.5 to win Round 3.

Trisyn Kalawaia- $3,500: The Hawaiian cowboy finished first in Round 1 and fifth in Round 2.

Gavin Soileau – $3,000: The champion of the National Western’s lone check came from a 5 flat that won him Round 2.

Super Series 3

Cash Robb – $5,500: Robb split Round 1 with Stetson Jorgensen with a 5.2 and then shaved a half-second off of his time to win Round 2 outright with a 4.7. It is the seconds straight year he won his Super Series in Houston.

Holden Myers – $4,000: Myers started off his RodeoHouston career with two fifth place finishes before a

Stetson Jorgensen – $3,500: Jorgensen split Round 1 with Cash Robb and then finished fourth in Round 2 with a 5.7.

Ty Erickson – $3,000: Erickson made three straight runs of 6.1 seconds or faster and finished fourth, third and second in the three rounds of competition.

Super Series 4

Ryan Shuckburgh – $6,375: Shuckburgh’s total is more than any other steer wrestler so far in Houston. He won Round 1 with a 5.7 and then shaved another second off of his time to win Round 2 with a 4.7.

Tyler Pearson – $5,000: Pearson finished third in the first two rounds and then made the fastest run of the rodeo, a 4.0, to win Round 3.

Stephen Culling – $4,000: Culling finished second in both Rounds 1 and 3 with the latter being a much better time, 6.8 seconds compared to 4.4.

Riley Duvall – $3,000: The Okie grabbed the final spot in the Semifinals with a strong finish, a 5.2 in Round 2 and a 4.5 in Round 3.

Super Series 5

Dakota Eldridge – $4,375: Eldridge impressed with three times of 5 flat or better and finished second or third in every round. He is the reigning champion of RodeoHouston.

Tucker Allen – $4,000: Allen was 5.8 or better on his three runs, including a 4.6 to win Round 2.

Scott Guenthner – $4,000: Guenthner went for it all in Round 3 and delivered a 4 flat run to match the fastest run of the rodeo.

Chance Howard: $3,250: Howard was 4.9 seconds to win Round 1.
