Three of the five brackets have now come and gone in San Antonio and more than half of the Semifinal spots have been claimed in the second stop on the Texas Swing.

The rodeo continues through Saturday, Feb. 22 on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

Stetson Wright advances in both of his events – He went 3-for-3 in the bull riding, advancing as the top rider from Bracket 1, highlighted by an impressive 89-point ride on Ringling Road along the way. In the saddle bronc riding, he also delivered a strong performance, finishing second in Bracket 2, winning Round 3 with 86.5 points on Lost Hope.

Sage Allen wins two rounds in bracket that includes Cole Reiner, Leighton Berry, and RC Landingham – The 21-year-old earned over $6,500, winning the bracket by more than $2,000. He delivered consistent performances with scores of 86.5, 85, and 88 on his three rides. Coming into the event, he had less than $3,000 in earnings for the year.

Clay Smith/Coleby Payne advance first out of Bracket 3 thanks to 3.6 in Round 3 – They delivered two impressive 3.8-second runs in Fort Worth before getting even faster with a lightning-quick 3.6 in Round 3 at San Antonio. Their time was the fastest run of the rodeo by three tenths of a second. So far, they have already earned $5,700. Both are inside the Top 15 already and are already in position for another jump regardless of what happens in the Semifinals.

There has been one tie so far for the win in a bracket, and it was three-way tie in Bracket 3’s steer wrestling – Justin Shaffer, Jace Melvin, and Trisyn Kalawaia all made $4,202. Shaffer finished second in the first two rounds, Melvin won Round 2 and took third in Round 3 while Kalawaia won Round 1 and was third in Round 2.

Mason Moody Goes 3-for-3 in Bracket 3 to win over $9,000 – He was the only rider in his bracket to cover all three bulls, while no one else managed to ride even one. His dominant performance earned him $5,500 more than Brody Yeary, who finished in second place. Moody is No. 9 in the World and 13-for-20 on the 2025 season.

Kyle Lucas and Ty Harris Both win More than $6,000 in the tie-down roping in Bracket 3 – Harris won two rounds, while Lucas claimed one, but Lucas remained consistent by finishing in the Top 3 in the rounds he didn’t win. Their winning times were 8.2 and 7.9 seconds for Harris and 7.6 seconds for Lucas. Both cowboys made the Finals in Fort Worth, where Lucas finished second and Harris fourth.

Jake Smith/Douglas Rich turned in three straight times of 4.7 or faster in Bracket 2 – They were the only team with three such runs, winning one round and finishing second in two others. Their best time came in Round 3 with a 4.1-second run.

Richie Champion made three straight rides of 83.5 or better to finish Top 2 in every round of Bracket 3’s bareback riding – The veteran bareback rider won over $6,300 and out dueled the likes of Dean Thompson, Mason Clements, Tilden Hooper, Kade Sonnier and Jacek Frost. He has made the Semifinals every year he has competed in San Antonio since 2019.

Steer wrestler Brandon Harrison wins Bracket 2 and makes a 3.4-second run along the way – Harrison’s 3.4 was the fastest we have seen so far between Denver, Fort Worth, and San Antonio and to make his Bracket 2 win even sweeter, he bested reigning World Champion JD Struxness.

Four barrel racers – Tillar King, Abby Phillips, Oceane Veilleux, and Katelyn Scott – have won over $5,000 so far – King placed Top 4 in all three rounds and won Round 3 of Bracket 1, Phillips finished second or third in all three rounds of Bracket 2, Veilleux won Rounds 2 and 3 of Bracket 2, and Scott finished second in Round 1 and won Round 2 of Bracket 3.
