San Antonio crowned champions, so this week’s Headliners and Hidden Gems is a bit more straight forward. Most of our headliners were the winners of the Texas Swing’s second stop, while our hidden gems came from rodeos like La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros in Arizona, the Silver Spurs Rodeo in Florida, and the Georgia National Rodeo.

Headliner: Dawson Hay – The Canadian bronc rider has ascended to No. 1 in the World Standings, holding a lead of about $1,000 over Fort Worth Champion Kade Bruno. Hay made rides of 87, 86, 88, 85.5, and 90 points to win San Antonio and on the season, he has not had a single ride marked below 84 points. He already has nine rides rides marked 87 or better on the season.

Hidden Gem: Waylon Bourgeois – The Louisiana bareback rider wasn’t a factor at the two biggest rodeos of the weekend, but still grabbed two wins in the Southeast an 84.5-point ride in Perry, Georgia and an 85-point ride in Kissimmee, Florida to win almost $8,000 between the two events. The 25-year-old is No. 8 in the PRCA World Standings.

Headliner: Bradlee Miller – Miller accomplished a rare feat by winning San Antonio without winning the Short Go, but he was still a very, very worthy champion. After an 85.5-point ride on his first horse, he finished the rodeo with three straight rides marked 87.5 or better to bring in more than $22,000. He leads the World Standings by $19,000 over Fort Worth Champion Nick Pelke.

Hidden Gem: Brody Wells – Coming off of his first NFR in 2024, it appears Wells is finally rolling in 2025 after winning La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros in Tucson, Arizona with rides of 85.5 and 89.5 points, his highest of the season. He doubled his season earnings in a single rodeo to get up to No. 26 in the World Standings.

Headliner: Aspen Miller – Aspen Miller did the same thing as Bradlee Miller, won San Antonio despite not winning the Short Round. She did, however, turn in five straight times of 2.1 seconds or faster when no other breakaway roper had more than three.

Hidden Gem: Jayco Roper – The 23-year-old took second in both rounds in Tucson with ride of 86.5 and 86 points to get his third win of the season and first since Nov. 10. Roper finished No. 36 last year after making the NFR in 2023.

Headliner: Stetson Wright – Wright went 4-for-5 in San Antonio and capped things off with a 91.5-point ride to win more than $19,000 in the Short Round alone. He is already up to No. 2 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings after going to just four rodeos so far in 2025.

Hidden Gem: Blake Blanchard – At the North Mississippi Rodeo in Cornith, Blanchard rode for 87.5 to get the win by 10.5 points. It marked the first qualified ride of the 20-year-old’s PRCA career.

Headliner: Kyle Lucas – Lucas has made the Finals in Denver, Fort Worth, and San Antonio this year and finally cashed in his first Playoff Series win of 2025 in Tucson with a clean sweep of both rounds. The 30-year-old Canadian is No. 2 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings.

Hidden Gem: Jordan Spears – The California native had just $3,400 entering the weekend before winning Tucson with rides of 84.5 and 88 points to collect $9,513.

Headliner AND Hidden Gem: Brandon Harrison – Harrison has to be considered a headliner because he is now No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings, but his story is certainly that of a hidden gem. He won San Antonio over the weekend after making it through the Uvalde Qualifier. The 35-year-old has dabbled in ProRodeo for over a decade, competing mostly in Texas and Oklahoma since 2012. He has never won more than $41,210 in a season, but in San Antonio alone, he won more half of that. It marked the third win of his professional career.
