Round 2 of Super Series 4 featured three second-place finishers from Thursday night claiming victories on Friday, along with a repeat winner in the bulldogging. We’ll start there because of how dominant Ryan Shuckburgh has been.

The 27-year-old steer wrestler is making his RodeoHouston debut, and his first run inside NRG Stadium was nothing short of impressive—he clocked a 5.7-second run to win Round 1 by more than a second. He was even better on Friday night, stopping the clock at 4.7 seconds to secure another win and boost his total earnings to $6,000 with Round 3 still to come. That figure already surpasses the previous high for a steer wrestler in the 2025 edition of RodeoHouston, set by Cash Robb at $5,500 in Super Series 3.

Three other competitors, all of whom finished second on Thursday, now have at least $4,500 in their respective events. In bareback riding, Weston Timberman, who shared second place with Rocker Steiner in Round 1 after an 83-point ride, claimed victory in Round 2 with an 85-point effort on Calgary’s Zastron Acres. It marked Timberman’s first Texas Swing round win of the season. In saddle bronc riding, Weston Patterson followed up an 84-point ride with a round-winning 83.5 on Yuppie Bubbles, bringing his Super Series earnings to $5,000. Meanwhile, in breakaway roping, Jackie Crawford improved from 3.2 to 3.0 seconds, moving from second place in Round 1 to first in Round 2.

Other Super Series 4, Round 2 winners were Lightning Aguilera/Patrick Smith in team roping (4.8 seconds), Logan Bird in tie-down roping (8.8 seconds), Megan McLeod-Sprague in barrel racing (14.54 seconds), and Tyler Bingham in bull riding (79 points).

Super Series 4 concludes at 3 PM CT Saturday on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.
