Stetson Wright Climbs Back to the Top of PRCA Bull Riding Mountain

Stetson Wright is once again a PRCA Bull Riding World Champion, adding a third career Gold Buckle in his signature event in 2025.
Wright entered No. 2 in the World Standings, trailing Wacey Schalla by about $2,000, but quickly took control of the race by winning the first two rounds and finishing second in Round 3.
He ended up 5-for-10 at the NFR, winning three Go-Rounds and $546,741 on the season, $196,296 of which came in Las Vegas. He covered more than 60 percent of his bulls for the entire season and averaged nearly 87 points per ride.
“I’m a very greedy person, I’m never satisfied and always wanting more,” he said. “Already tonight, I’m thinking about 2026, I want that Triple Crown.”
Wright has made a habit of making the impossible look easy and his two Gold Buckles on Saturday night (he also won the All-Around) were no different.
He hadn’t competed for an entire NFR since 2022 and at one point, doctors suggested he never get on again.
“There was bets and wagers saying I’d never win a World Title ever again and I showed back up and got two,” he said. “The (NFR) means everything to me, it’s what gets me out of the bed in the morning…I just have to think about the NFR when I’m down in the dumps and I’m rejuvenated and ready to go.”
