The 2025 edition of PBR Milwaukee was won by Sage Kimzey through impressive across three bulls, he covered them all for at least 88 points when no other cowboy who was perfect was better than 87 on a single ride.
The victory marked Kimzey’s second career UTB event win, with his third coming just last week in New York City on the strength of two 90+ point rides, including a career-best 92.05 aboard Lights Out. Kimzey will look to continue his hot streak of four consecutive qualified rides Friday night when he matches up against UTB rookie bull Money Hustler.
The biggest moment of PBR Milwaukee 2025, however, belonged to Andrew Alvidrez, who delivered a season-best 94 points atop Man Hater in the event’s Final Round. This weekend, he’ll represent the Missouri Thunder in a Teams Challenge doubleheader.
Speaking of, the Teams Challenge action opens with the Oklahoma Wildcatters facing the Kansas City Outlaws, both entering the matchup at 0–0. The Wildcatters’ Friday roster includes three riders who have yet to earn a UTB qualified ride this season. World No. 14 Cort McFadden has gone 3-for-4 on the year with an 87.48 average score, but Oklahoma will need another contributor to step up, potentially Velocity Tour No. 1-ranked Kase Hitt, to secure its first team win.
The Outlaws counter by activating Eric Novoa and Alison dos Santos, both set to make their first UTB outs of the season alongside No. 12-ranked Cassio Dias and No. 22 Koltin Hevalow. Kansas City will lean on the experience of Dias and Hevalow, who carry a combined season average score of 83.9, to outmatch the relatively untested Wildcatters lineup.
In the second Team Challenge matchup, the Missouri Thunder will be led by World No. 5 Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, who owns a 66.67% riding percentage on 12 bulls with an 85.96 average score this season. Alvidrez is still searching for consistency, while the squad is rounded out by Kade Madsen and Maverick Smith, who have combined for four qualified rides so far. The Thunder will square off with the Arizona Ridge Riders, led by No. 13 Eduardo Aparecido and No. 15 Keyshawn Whitehorse. While both have been consistent, high-end scores have been elusive, as the duo has produced only two rides above 87 points across a combined 12 qualified rides.
Friday night’s action will feature 29 of the Top 30, with No. 16 Bob Mitchell as the lone absence. Newly crowned World No. 1 Julio Cesar Marques is coming off a second-place finish in New York City after going 3-for-4, highlighted by a personal-best 91.1 in the Final Round aboard UTZ BesTex Smokestack. He’ll open against I’ll Make Ya Famous, a bull already ridden twice this season.
World No. 4 Brady Fielder enters Milwaukee looking to rebound after a rough weekend in New York City, where he failed to cover a single bull and slipped out of the Top 3. Fielder had not been bucked off three straight times since the 2025 PBR World Finals, where he endured a four-ride skid. He’ll draw Muddy Jake, making his first UTB out, in Round 1.
World No. 2 Marco Rizzo finds himself in a similar position after going just 1-for-3 in New York City, recording his lowest qualified score of the season with an 82.05 in Round 1. While Rizzo isn’t in danger of a prolonged slump, he’ll need to defend his spot inside the Top 3, beginning with a matchup against Drago, a bull carrying an 85% buckoff rate and riding a buckoff streak of seven.
Jose Vitor Leme remains in search of his first qualified ride of the season. Currently riding a six-bull buckoff streak, a mark he’s reached three times previously, Leme has never bucked off seven consecutive bulls in his career. Standing between him and that career lowlight is Body Bag, a bull with a 75% buckoff percentage and a 42.13 average bull score.
