Leighton Berry was victorious in the bareback riding, and he has already piled up $8,000 in Fort Worth after an 89-point ride on J Bar J’s Dark Side in the Second Semifinal. He led a group of Fort Worth Finals qualifiers that have combined for 31 NFRs.
Jess Pope was second with 88 points, Cole Reiner took third with 87, and Richmond Champion, Orin Larsen, and Rocker Steiner tied for fourth with 86.5.
In steer wrestling, former football star Landris White continued to press toward what would be the signature win of his ProRodeo career. After turning in a 3.4-second run on his second steer in Bracket 5, he was 3.6 to win the Second Semifinal.
Bridger Anderson was second on Friday night with a 4.1-second run after times of 3.6 and 4.0 in Bracket 4, and Tanner Brunner and Cash Robb were both 4.8 to take the last two spots in the Short Round.
Every steer wrestler from the Second Semifinal who advanced has made a run of 3.7 seconds or faster already in Fort Worth.
In team roping, James Arviso/Rance Doyal and Jake Clay/Will Woodfin turned in matching 4.4s to take home $3,500 apiece. Kavis Drake/Denim Ross and Mason Appleton/Sid Sporer also moved on.
It was another loaded night in the bronc riding, as it once again took at least 88.5 points to move on. This time, the four doing so were Ryder Sanford (90 points), Rusty Wright (90), Ira Dickinson (89), and Statler Wright and Kade Bruno (both 88.5).
Rusty Wright, in particular, has been sensational throughout the FWSSR. The No. 2-ranked cowboy in the PRCA World Standings has averaged 89.6 points across his three rides and banked $9,000 already.
John Douch and Kincade Henry won the first two brackets of the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, and two weeks later, they also went 1-2 in the Second Semifinal. Douch stopped the clock at 8.4 seconds, while Henry was right behind him at 8.5. The other two spots in the Finals went to Tom Crouse and Marty Yates.
Hailey Kinsel, like Rusty Wright, has now won all three rounds she has competed in in Fort Worth this year, turning in her fastest run yet with a 16.26 to win Friday night’s Semifinal.
Makenzie Mayes, Katelyn Scott, and Summer Kosel are the other three finalists in the barrel racing.
Bull riding saw three qualified rides, and all of them were 86.5 points or better. Luke Mackey was 91 points on Rafter G’s Nemesis, Tristen Hutchings was 89.5, and Lane Vaughan was 86.5.
Mackey and Hutchings are both 3-for-3 for the rodeo, and Hutchings has been at least 88 points on all three of them.
In breakaway roping, Jill Tanner was the champion of the Second Semifinal after finishing second in the Wildcard two nights prior. She was 2.3 seconds in both perfs. Josie Conner, Braylee Shepherd, and Cadee Williams advanced to the Finals with her.
