Athletes to Watch in Bracket 1 of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo kicks off the Texas Swing and by tomorrow we’ll already have our first Semifinal qualifiers. NFR talent runs deep in Bracket 1.

BAREBACK RIDING

Cole Franks – All three of Franks’ rides this season have been 83.5 points or better. The 23-year-old registered his third career Top 6 finish in 2024.

Cole Reiner – After five straight Top 10 finishes, this will be Reiner’s first out for the 2025 season since Oct. 12.

Weston Timberman – As a rookie, he finished No. 7 in the World with $292,509.

STEER WRESTLING

JD Struxness – The Minnesota native won his first World Championship in 2024 and placed in eight rounds at the NFR.

Tucker Allen – After making his first NFR in 2024, Allen is No. 7 in the 2025 PRCA World Standings.

Ty Erickson – After not making the NFR for three years after his 2019 World Title, Erickson has made three in a row.

TEAM ROPING

Clay Smith/Coleby Payne – Smith/Payne finished second in the 2024 NFR Average.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Ben Andersen – Andersen made his third career NFR in 2024 and has been 82 and 82.5 points on his two qualified rides this season.

Kade Bruno – The three-time NFR qualifier is No. 1 in the World Standings with $36,507. It should be noted he is also on the daysheet in Denver tonight.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Kincade Henry – Henry won Round 2 and placed seventh in the Average at the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo (Texas) earlier this month. It was his first PRCA rodeo since the NFR.

Shad Mayfield – The 2024 PRCA All-Around World Champion is off to another blazing start and he’s ranked No. 2 in the World.

BARREL RACING

Sissy Winn – The Texas native has been to just three rodeos this season and looks to breakout in Fort Worth.

BULL RIDING

JR Stratford – Despite winning 16 rodeos in 2024, Stratford finished No. 19 in the World.

Trey Kimzey – After a third straight NFR and third straight year over $200,000, Kimzey competes for the first time in the 2025 season in Fort Worth.
