Around the PRCA: Three Stars from Friday Night’s Performances in Fort Worth, San Antonio, Jackson and Rapid City

Friday night was a showcase of elite rodeo talent across the country, with top athletes delivering standout performances at four major events. The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Semifinals set the stage for one of the year’s richest payouts, while San Antonio’s early rounds kept the Texas Swing momentum rolling. In Mississippi, the Dixie National Rodeo brought high stakes as the state’s premier event, and in South Dakota, Rodeo Rapid City finished up its second of four performances before concluding with a doubleheader on Saturday.

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Jacek Frost – The 20-year-old bareback rider has been on fire in Fort Worth and each ride has been better than the next. He was 87.5 on his first horse, 88 on his second and 89.5 to win the Second Semifinal Friday night. He has already totaled $7,000 in Fort Worth.

Emily Beisel – Beisel has dominated Fort Worth more than any athlete in any event. She has won all three Go-Rounds she has competed in and all three of her times have been 16.26 seconds or faster. There have been just 12 total times at that mark or better through the first 17 performances.

T Parker – Parker missed much of the 2024 season with a torn rotator cuff, but since returning in 2025, he is riding over 60 percent of his bulls. On Friday night, he went 90 on Sutton Rodeo’s One Chance.

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo

Tucker Allen – Allen won Round 1 of Bracket 1 in the steer wrestling with a 4.4 and followed it up with a 4.1 to win again on Friday night. He is all but guaranteed a trip to the Semifinals in San Antone and has already made over $5,000.

Cash Hooper – Hooper’s two rounds in the Frost Bank Center look a lot like Allen’s. The 21-year-old tie-down roper was 8.5 on his first run to win the round and 7.9 on his second to share Round 2 with Tuf Cooper.

Stetson Wright – The moniker Superman in Boots gets more and more fitting with each passing day for the 8x World Champion. He is a perfect 7-for-7 on the season and highest marked ride of 2025 came Friday in San Antonio, 89 points on Ringling Road.

Dixie National Rodeo

Brody Wells – After 84 points on Rude Roommate, Wells is on top by one point in the saddle bronc riding after the First Performance of Mississippi’s only Playoff Series Rodeo.

Taylor Moeykens – Moeykens was more than a tenth faster than Ashley Rogers, who finished second, and almost four tenths than third place.

Zack Heimann – There were three qualified rides on Night 1 in Jackson and none were better than Heimann’s 85-pointer. The 29-year-old Floridian is 3-for-3 on the season and won the Homestead Championship Rodeo two weeks ago.

Rodeo Rapid City

Tory Johnson – Johnson was the only steer wrestler to get in the money from Friday’s performance as the Oklahoma City native was 4.9. It was his best time since he was 4.4 at the San Antonio Rodeo Qualifier in November.

Cauy Pennington – With two performances down and two to go, Pennington took the lead on Friday with 81 points on Coconut Gold. It was his first ride over 75 points this season.

Connor Murnion – With 83 points on Hot Wired in the bull riding, Murnion has the highest score in any roughstock event so far in Rapid City.
