Bracket 5 in Fort Worth will come and go quickly with performances Friday night and Saturday afternoon on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+ and this might be the most talented set we’ve seen at the FWSSR.

BAREBACK RIDING

R.C. Landingham – The four-time NFR qualifier is No. 4 in the PRCA World Standings fresh off of a Finals appearance at the National Western.

Tilden Hooper – Hooper rode incredibly well last summer after returning from an 18-month layoff following neck surgery. In the 2025 season, his two rides have been for 92.5 and 85.5 points.

STEER WRESTLING

Tyler Waguespack – The five-time World Champion won a check in all three rounds and finished second in the Average at the Southeastern Circuit Finals in November, which has been enough money to keep him at No. 16 in the World.

Kyle Irwin – The 2022 NFR Average Champion has won a check on four of his last five runs entering Fort Worth.

TEAM ROPING

Andrew Ward/Jake Long – One of three new teams with NFR pedigree to showcase in Bracket 5, these two have yet to win a check together on four runs.

Clint Summers/Paul Eaves – Summers formerly roped with Long and he and Eaves will make their 2025 debut Friday night in Funkytown.

Luke Brown/Trey Yates – In their first rodeo together, they won the National Western with a 4.2 in the Finals.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Ryder Wright – The reigning World Champion is No. 1 in the World once again in 2025 and is coming off a second place finish at the National Western. This season, nine of his 10 rides have been 84 or better.

Statler Wright – Statler is No. 5 in the World and won the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo with 88.5 points earlier this month.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Marty Yates – Yates will compete in the PRCA for the first time since the NFR this weekend. It was his 10th appearance in the last 11 years.

Brushton Minton – Minton was 7.3 seconds to win the National Western and is No. 8 in the World Standings.

BARREL RACING

Shelley Morgan – Morgan won checks in the first two rounds in Denver and advanced to the Semifinals. Her best finish in Fort Worth is second in 2014.

BULL RIDING

Trey Holston – Holston made the NFR in 2022 and 2023 is 1-for-4 so far in 2025.
