The PBR Team Series is back and kicked off the 2026 season with PBR Bulls and Beats in Fort Collins, Colorado. It’s been about two months since the PBR World Finals wrapped up, and nearly nine months since the end of the 2025 Team Championship that saw the Carolina Cowboys crowned World Champions.

Bulls and Beats reintroduced fans and riders alike to a little bull fever before the PBR takes a three-week break, returning on a steady schedule beginning with Wildcatter Days in Oklahoma on July 31.

Day 1 in Fort Collins began with the 2025 Champion Carolina Cowboys taking a narrow 176.55 – 175.15 win over the Nashville Stampede. All four scores were for 87+, but Cowboy Jess Lockwood had the top score of the game and was 88.8 on Mayor of Hogeye.

The Texas Rattlers beat the Florida Freedom 265.45 – 260.90, led by Daniel Keeping’s 90.10 on Tigger. For that score, Keeping was awarded Day 1’s MVP award. Freedom rider Alex Cerqueira’s 85.55 was the only ride of the game under 87 points.

Two-time Team Series MVP John Crimber faced Lights Out, but was bucked off in 3.49 seconds. Lights Out posted a 45.3 Bull Score on that ride, which went on to be the highest bull score of the weekend.

The Austin Gamblers ended a full ride ahead of the Kansas City Outlaws, picking up the 263.6 – 177.45 win. Sage Kimzey was 89.60 on Wicked Solo as the top scorer for the Gamblers, but it was Koltin Hevalow with the top score of the game, going 89.65 on Dirty Honey.

The Arizona Ridge Riders had the most dominant win of Day 1, covering 4-of-5 for 347.65 points, more than doubling up New York Mavericks, who finished with 172.10. Maverick Marco Rizzo, coming off a UTB Rookie of the Year win, nabbed the best score of the game though, going 88.5 on High Road. Despite that, the Mavericks were outrun by the Ridge Riders’ volume of scores, even though three of their four scores were for 87.00 or less.

The 2025 Reserve World Champion Missouri Thunder took down the Oklahoma Wildcatters 265.00 – 87.75. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, Julio Cesar Marques, and Felipe Furlan all got on the board for the Thunder, with Cesar Marques scoring a game-high 89.55 on Hoobastank.

Kaiden Loud was the only Wildcatter to ride and did so in his first out as a Wildcatter. Loud was formerly a part of the Nashville Stampede.

To start Day 2, the Nashville Stampede got into the win column with a 177.00 – 87.25 victory over the Missouri Thunder. Riquelmi Silva was 89.45 on Night Games for the Stampede and Rogério Venâncio covered Smooth Violation for the second straight night.

It was just Felipe Furlan who scored for the Thunder, bringing his event total to 174.2 aggregate points.

The New York Mavericks dropped to 0-2 and are the league’s lone winless team. They fell to the Oklahoma Wildcatters, who earned a 261.85 – 175.80 bounce-back win. Once again, Marco Rizzo earned the top score of the game. He was 89.4 on Wild Child, putting the Mavericks in the lead, only for Trace Redd and Eduardo Matos, the Wildcatters’ all-time qualified rides leader, to go for 88.35 and 87.2 back-to-back to seal the win for the Okies.

The Kansas City Outlaws improved to 1-1 with a shutout win, 175.05 – 0.00, against the Carolina Cowboys. Sandro Batista started things with an 85.3, and Cassio Dias finished things with an 89.75 on XIT Knock Out.

The Cowboys leave Colorado as the only team to score less than 200 aggregate points, and trail all other teams by at least two bulls.

The Rattlers defeated the Gamblers in a thrilling 265.55 – 257.45 battle for Texas to become the only undefeated team at 2-0.

Both teams covered 3-of-5 bulls. Kaique Pacheco’s 87.55 was the only one of the Gamblers’ rides that was for more than 87 points and two of the Rattlers were for at least 88, putting them over the edge.

Brady Fielder, after having bucked off on Day 1, covered Fringe Minority for 88.3. But it was Jean Carlos Teodoro who created the edge that won the game for the Rattlers. He earned his first ride ever in Teams competition, scoring a career-high 90.4 points on Yosemite Sam, his first ever 90+ score in any PBR competition.

Finally, the 2025 Regular Season Champion Florida Freedom were 91+ twice en route to a 273.5 – 178.3 win. Austin Richardson was 92.4 on Stacked Deck, earning Day 2’s MVP award. Richardson also leads all riders with 179.7 total points, making him the MVP frontrunner after the first event.

Luciano De Castro was 88.1 and Elizmar Jeremias was 90.2 on High Road for the Ridge Riders, forcing a response from the Freedom. Yan Victor Cunha answered with an 89.2, and so did John Crimber, who was 91.9 on Dirty Honey, sealing the Freedom Victory.

Just nine riders covered both of their bulls last weekend; the only teams to have multiple riders on that list are the Arizona Ridge Riders and Austin Gamblers, who rank third and fourth in the standings. The Rattlers and Freedom, who top the Teams standings, each feature one rider with multiple qualified rides, but both fielded an event-leading five unique riders who covered a bull.
