RodeoHouston is already the PRCA’s highest paying regular season rodeo and it increased its purse by $355,000 in 2025 to bring its total payout over $2.5 million.

Each event’s payout went from $242,000 to $281,500 and most critically, the winner of the Championship Shootout ets $65,000 this year, rather than the traditional $50,000.

Winning this rodeo now essentially means an athlete is more than halfway to the end-of-season total needed to make the NFR. With that being said, here are some of those cowboys and cowgirls who could find themselves vying for that $65,000+ prize on Sunday, March 2023.
