Rodeo Austin delivered a thrilling Finals as the fourth of five stops on the Texas Swing, but the state’s capital was far from its only rodeo hotspot. With just a few weeks before the action shifts west, Waxahachie and Huntsville hosted their own rodeos, while roughstock cowboys made waves in Oklahoma and North Dakota.

Headliner – Wacey Schalla: The World No. 1 put on a clinic at Rodeo Austin, riding three straight bulls for 90+ points and besting his hero Stetson Wright in both the Semifinals and Finals. And he wasn’t done there. He extended his lead in the World Standings with an 89-point ride to win the D&H Cattle Co Extreme Bulls (Oklahoma). His final stats for the weekend? 4-for-5 with an average score of 90.5 and more than $36,000 won.

Hidden Gem – Mossy Waite: In just his second PRCA rodeo of the season, Waite finished third behind Schalla and Tristen Hutchings at the D&H event to win almost $10,000.

Headliner – Tanner Aus: For the second year in a row and third time in his career, Tanner Aus won Rodeo Austin. And for the second straight year, he did it by winning the Semifinals and Finals. His Short Round ride of 91 points on Good Girl of Diamond G was his highest marked ride since Dec. 31, 2021.

Hidden Gem – Evan Betony: Betony rode for 87.5 points to get the bareback riding win at Cave Creek Rodeo Days (Arizona), which was his second win in March. He went to four rodeos last month, all in Arizona, and added sixth place finish and second place finish in addition to the two wins.

Headliner – Tuf Cooper: Cooper became the first athlete in 2025 to pick up multiple Texas Swing wins, adding Austin along with San Antonio. He has been to just seven rodeos, but still sits No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings. Cooper was 27.1 seconds on three to win Rodeo Austin.

Hidden Gem – Gus Gaillard: The 22-year-old saddle bronc rider is No. 19 in the World Standings thanks to an 87.5-point ride on Breaking News to win the Ellis County Livestock Show and Rodeo (Texas). After two second place finishes in March and two Go-Round Wins in Fort Worth, he finally got his first win of the season.

Headliner – Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi: The 2023 World Champion has won Rodeo Austin twice, in 2005 and 2025. This year, she did it with the two fastest runs of the rodeo—a 15.08 to win the Long Round and a 15.10 to win the Short Round.

Hidden Gem – Hayden Ferguson: Ferguson snapped a four bull backoff streak over the weekend by winning the Walker County Fair and Rodeo (Texas) with 86 points on Hacked Off. He was also 83.5 for fifth in Ellis County.

Headliner – Wyatt Casper: The five-time NFR qualifier won more than $10,000 over the weekend from a fourth place finish in the Long Round in Austin and a win at the PRCA Extreme Bares and Broncs in Watford City, North Dakota, where he was 88 on both of his rides.

Hidden Gem – Aubryn Bedke: In just her fifth rodeo of the season, Bedke tied for the win at the Cave Creek breakaway roping and perhaps more impressive is who she tied with—Danielle Lowman and Macy Young. All three were 2.6 seconds.
