Kade Bruno has qualified for the National Finals and finished in the Top 11 each of the past three seasons. In 2024, he pushed Damian Brennan to the brink in a thrilling battle, nearly ending the regular season as the No. 1 saddle bronc rider in the World Standings.

Fast-forward to 2025, and Bruno is still leading the charge. He made a statement in Fort Worth with back-to-back 87.5-point rides, advancing comfortably.

“Having some money won early ins the year is a great feeling going into the new year and the building codes that all pay really well,” he said. “I’ve set a bunch of goals for 2025 – winning a winter rodeo, staying consistent, controlling the situations I can.”

This season, every ride Bruno has made has been worth at least 83 points and he has won a check on all of them.

Shad Mayfield has had similar start to Bruno on the timed event end of the arena. After breaking the regular season earnings record in the tie-down roping in 2024, he ended up No. 2 in the World.

This year, he quickly jumped toward the top and is No. 6 in the World, but that will change after his performance in Dickies Arena.

It started with him matching the arena record with a 7.2-second run in Bracket 1, Round 1 before an 8.6 shared him the next round.

Mayfield won this rodeo a season ago with times of 7.5 and 7.8 seconds in the Semifinals and Finals after barely advancing. This year he’s onto the Semis with authority.
