Missouri Thunder Go 3-0, Nashville Stampede Provide Thrills in Front of the Home Crowd, and More from the Last Weekend’s PBR Teams Action

The fourth event of the 2026 PBR Team Series season, Stampede Days, came to a close Sunday in Nashville with the unlikely Missouri Thunder finishing on top, undefeated for the weekend.
The Music City faithful got their chance to celebrate their Nashville Stampede as they extended their winning streak to eight in a row and finished the weekend atop the league standings once again.
The Florida Freedom had their worst weekend in recent memory, finishing winless and dropping five whole spots in the standings.
Meanwhile, the MVP standings were shaken up again as we enter the midseason competition, but two-time League MVP Jose Vitor Leme continues to reign supreme at the top.
The league’s landscape has once again been reinvented after another thrilling weekend that saw new teams become new threats.
Here’s a breakdown of how each team fared.
Missouri Thunder
The Missouri Thunder championed Stampede Days and finished undefeated in Music City.
After finishing Freedom Days 0-3 a weekend prior, the Thunder bounced back in the ideal way, a 3-0 weekend.
They were led once again led by Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, who had his first 3-for-3 weekend. He improved with each ride, scoring 77.1, 88.3 and 90.6 points.
Rossetto is now second in the MVP standings with 704.65 points, 92.05 behind MVP leader Jose Vitor Leme.
Rossetto was consistent as was the rest of the team, with everyone in the starting lineup making the whistle across the weekend’s first two games. The big rides were flowing too. In each game last weekend, the Thunder had a different rider make a 90+ point ride.
Kade Madsen was a career-best 90.2 on Day 1 on his first ride of the Teams Season. It put the Thunder ahead of the Cowboys for good.
In Game 2, the Thunder rode four to the Wildcatters’ one for a season-high 352.40 points. That total included a career-best 91 from Macaulie Leather on Fringe Minority, which won him Day 2’s MVP award. Leather has been 90+ twice this season for his only two scores so far.
The final 90-pointer came from their leader Rossetto, who was 90.60 out of the gate. Paired with 88.40 from Julio Cesar Marques, it was enough to overpower the New York Mavericks.
The Thunder rode 8-of-15 bulls in Nashville for 698.7 points, their most of the season. They jumped from seventh to fourth in the league standings at 6-5 with 1948.05 aggregate points.
Kansas City Outlaws
The Outlaws had a bounce-back weekend of their own, finishing with a season-best and event-best 783.80 points, riding 9-of-15.
The Outlaws began their weekend with a 266.10-173.40 loss to the Texas Rattlers. It wasn’t all negative, though, as Koltin Hevalow returned to the team after missing the previous five games due to family complications. He rode 2-of-3 for 170.35 points over the weekend.
The team got back on track quickly and exploded for a season-best 346.00 points on four rides to beat the Austin Gamblers in Game 2, they then rode three to beat the Freedom in Game 3.
Sandro Batista rode all three of his bulls and improved to third overall in the MVP standings. It was his first 3-for-3 weekend of the season and he’s ridden 8-for-11 overall for 696.80 points.
Rookie Hayden Welsh rode 2-of-3 for the second straight weekend and improved to 28th in the MVP standings as the second-highest-ranked Outlaw.
Right behind Welsh, in 30th, is Cassio Dias. He rode his second and third bulls of the season last weekend, including a season-best 90.35 on Organized Chaos in Game 3.
The Outlaws are humming and secured their first positive weekend of the season. Batista has been excellent, and the rest of the team is catching up. Kansas City jumped from eighth to seventh in the league standings, but with the fourth-most aggregate points at 2017.05.
Arizona Ridge Riders
Arizona has lost just one game in the last two weekends. That loss came in Game 1 against the home-team Nashville Stampede in the most exciting game of the season so far. Both teams rode four, but the Ridge Riders fell 346.35-356.30.
Despite the loss, Arizona stayed focused and won their next two games by a score each over the Mavericks and the Gamblers. Their collective focus has been the driving force of their season, and that’s been best exemplified by their top three riders: Eduardo Aparecido, Elizmar Jeremias and Luciano De Castro.
Those three riders sit in the Top 15 of the MVP Standings, with two in the Top 10. Aparecido leads the team in sixth place overall. He rode 2-of-3 last weekend, as did Jeremias, who’s right behind Aparecido in ninth.
The team remains in second with a 7-4 record, but they’ve closed the ride gap between themselves and the leading Stampede, matching them at 27-of-55 for the year. They’ve scored 2369.00 aggregate points in those 27 rides, just 24.4 points behind Nashville.
Arizona is two wins behind Nashville and is doing nearly everything right to catch them.
Nashville Stampede
The Nashville Stampede entered their homestand at Stampede Days on a franchise-record seven game winning streak and in first place.
They extended that record winning streak to eight with their Game 1 win over the Arizona Ridge Riders and, of course, did so in style by racking up 356.30 points to match their own mark for the most points scored in a single game this season.
It was an electrifying back-and-forth match that had the home crowd on their feet and loud.
Alan de Souza scored his fourth career 90+ score out of the gate, riding Freedom Fighter for 90.5, and won Day 1’s MVP award.
Daniel Feitosa and Rogério Venâncio backed de Souza up and were each 88.9 or better. Second overall pick and 2023 PRCA World Champion Ky Hamilton made his debut for the Stampede, but was bucked off in 3.93 seconds.
That left Riquelmi Silva in a must-ride, walk-off situation against Po Campo. Miraculously, Silva hung on to the rope and made it to eight seconds in a ride that looked like he had been done for countless times.
The team used up all of their energy in that victory, though, as the Stampede went scoreless for the first time this season in Game 2 and broke their historic eight-game winning streak.
In Game 3, they made just one qualified ride with Riqulemi Silva coming through once again to seal a victory. He was 90.90 on Big Mac to avoid a scoreless tie with the Wildcatters.
The Stampede are the only team with multiple riders in the Top 5 of the MVP standings with Silva in fourth and Venâncio in fifth.
The Stampede remain in 1st place with a 9-2 record and a two-game lead over the next-best Ridge Riders. They’ve scored the most points, 2393.40, and have ridden a league-best 27-of-55 bulls.
The blemish in their homestead is not a concern for their head coach Justin McBride.
“A good coach can coach a good team,” he said. “But a good coach also stays out of the way of a great team, and these guys are a great team.”
Texas Rattlers
The Rattlers needed a positive weekend after a disastrous 0-3 showing at Freedom Days, and that’s exactly what they accomplished. Led by No. 7 Brady Fielder and No. 33 João Ricardo Vieira, the Rattlers were 2-1, winning their first two games, but losing their last, going scoreless.
Fielder and Vieira each went 2-of-3, making up four of the team’s five rides over the weekend.
Fielder, for the first time this season, made the whistle in Game 1 and he was also 90.2 in Game 2, earning his first 90+ score of the season. He’s ridden 6-of-11 so far. Vieira improved to 3-for-7.
Jadon Hayes earned his first career qualified ride in the PBR Team Series to round out the scoring for the Rattlers last weekend. Hayes was 89.45 on Big Dawg.
The zero in Game 3 stings for the Rattlers, as it’s a momentum killer headed into next weekend. But the Rattlers can hang their hats on the fact that they fought to keep from bottoming out and improved to 5th in the league with a 6-5 record.
Carolina Cowboys
The Carolina Cowboys have the third-least aggregate points, rides and ride percentage, but jumped a spot in the standings this past weekend from fourth place to third with a 7-4 record.
While the team’s 1592.85 aggregate points on just 18 rides align more with the ninth and tenth place Wildcatters and Mavericks, the Cowboys qualified rides have come in the right places at the right times.
In Nashville last weekend, the Cowboys rode just 3-of-15 and scored 266.25 points, but finished with a 2-1 record. For reference, the Mavericks finished 0-3 with just 2.10 fewer points, and the Gamblers finished 1-2 with 617.70 points.
Two of the scores belong to Guilherme Valleiras, who now sits in 16th place, two spots behind Thiago Salgado, who had an uncharacteristic rideless weekend.
The other qualified ride came from Keyshawn Whitehorse, who is now 2-for-9 on the year after a very slow start.
The Cowboys have some improving to do, however, if they want to keep their spot in the standings, as there are five scoreless riders on the roster with at least two outs. They’ve ridden a combined 0-of-19 and most notably, last year’s Playoff MVP Clay Guiton is 0-for-7.
Austin Gamblers
Despite having the MVP race leader Jose Vitor Leme and a proven roster, the Austin Gamblers haven’t found their stride yet this season.
They won just one game last weekend despite riding 7-of-15 and fell to sixth in the standings with a 5-6 record. They’ve ridden the third-most bulls overall, however, at 26-of-55 for the third-most aggregate points at 2249.35.
Jose Vitor Leme is the biggest part of that. He’s responsible for nine of the team’s rides and 796.70 of the team’s points.
Leme produced his second straight 3-for-3 weekend and remained the leader in the MVP race.
Dalton Kasel backed up Leme, going 2-of-3 for 176.2 points. Meanwhile, Lucas Divino and Callum Miller each got their first scores for the Gamblers last weekend. Divino was 87, and Miller was 90.40.
The Gamblers have ridden at least two bulls in each of their last six games, but went 3-3 in that time. Luck hasn’t entirely swung their way yet, but the Austin squad will get an excellent opportunity to make their mark in front of the home crowd at Gambler Days next weekend.
Oklahoma Wildcatters
Oklahoma left Nashville with a 1-2 record for the third straight weekend. The Wildcatters still sit in ninth place with a 4-7 record, but with just 16-of-55 bulls ridden for 1413.25, they have the least number of rides and aggregate points in the league.
They started their weekend hot, riding three for a 268.65-87.85 win over the Florida Freedom. Kase Hitt was 90.15 on Bruised and Confused, and Eduardo Matos and Jack Mitchell were each 89+.
The team covered just one more bull in the two games following, though.
Matos is the highest-ranked Wildcatter in 20th, with 352.8 points, riding 4-of-11.
Oklahoma was without Kaiden Loud for the entire weekend. He’s missed their last four games. Loud brings a sense of identity to this emerging roster, but without him, the team’s floor becomes arguably the lowest in the league.
Regardless, the team is just three games from second place and just two games from fourth.
Florida Freedom
The Freedom spent their first full weekend without John Crimber as he deals with an injury and looked lost without him, finishing 0-3 after not having done so all of last season.
To make matters worse, the Freedom fell from third place to eighth with a 5-6 record.
Austin Richardson made two of the Freedom’s four qualified rides on the weekend while João Lucas Campos and Alex Cerqueira were the other rides to get the Freedom on the board.
Richardson is the only Freedom rider with multiple outs who’s riding at or above a 50 percent this year as he is 6-for-11 and No. 7 in the MVP Standings.
Alex Cerqueira and João Lucas Campos are the only other riders for Florida, not named John Crimber, with at least two qualified rides.
Four riders have just one score, and three have no scores. Interestingly enough, the Freedom have the highest average score per ride in the league at 89.20.
New York Mavericks
The Mavericks had their third winless weekend of the season and scored a season-low 264.15 points, going just 3-of-15 in the process.
Mauricio Gulla Moreira rode twice for 178.45 points and Marco Rizzo scored the remaining 85.70 points. Gulla Moreira has been the Mavericks’ best and has ridden 6-of-10, good for 11th in the MVP race.
Rizzo is their next best at 25th.
Both scored in Game 3 against the Thunder, but just not enough, as they lost by just 3.90 points.
Just five other Mavericks have made a qualified ride this season, and they’ve ridden a combined 7-for-26 bulls.
If the alarms weren’t blaring then, they’re blaring now, as at 1-10 on the season, the Mavericks are projected to finish even worse than last year when they were 9-26.
