Brady Fielder delivered a clutch performance to win the UTB event in front of an electric crowd in Pittsburgh with 262.75 points, narrowly edging out Felipe Furlan’s 261.75. Both riders were the only competitors to cover all three bulls, but Fielder, an Australian sensation, sealed the victory with a stunning 90.75-point ride in the Championship Round. The highest marked of the event.
The win earned Fielder 131 UTB points and continued a remarkable January streak. In three UTB events since Jan. 10, he’s finished first, third, and first again. Adding to his dominance, Fiedler also secured two Top 6 finishes on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour during the same span. Across all PBR competitions in January, he’s ridden 17 of 24 bulls, showcasing elite consistency.
“It’s massive to be riding in such a great venue and get the win,” Fielder told PBR.com. “I just gotta keep the ball rolling.”
Monster Energy Team Challenge
Keyshawn Whitehorse came up big under the bright lights of the Steel City, delivering a walk-off 89.75-point ride to lift the Arizona Ridge Riders over the Oklahoma Wildcatters in the Monster Energy Team Challenge. Arizona edged out Oklahoma 258-254.5 in a thriller.
Whitehorse soaked up the Pittsburgh atmosphere, celebrating in front of Steelers legends James Harrison and Brett Keisel. After triumphantly waving a Terrible Towel that landed in the dirt before his post-ride interview, Whitehorse reflected on the moment.
“I love that moment, trained for it my whole life,” Whitehorse said. “I’d like to thank the people here in the Steel City for supporting me on that last ride.”
The Ridge Riders rallied after a slow start, bucking off their two bulls while the Wildcatters covered their opening pair of bulls. Arizona stormed back with three consecutive rides to turn the tide. The win improves their head-to-head record against Oklahoma to 3-1.
Velocity Tour
The Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour saw action in two cities over the weekend—Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In Grand Rapids, Marcus Mast emerged victorious, narrowly outpacing Cody Teel and Cody McCandles to take the event win.
Meanwhile, in Tulsa, Caden Bunch put on a masterclass, going a perfect 3-for-3 and finishing with 251 points. The performance marked Bunch’s first individual PBR payday since Sept. 19 on the Challenger Series. His victory was made sweeter by the atmosphere, as he claimed 148 crucial Velocity Tour points in front of a record-setting soldout crowd.
