The PBR held its first of 11 three-day events this year at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City for Wildcatter Days.

By the time the dust settled over three days in Oklahoma, we got a better idea of how this season may look. It’s still early, teams have only played five of 35 games, but the biggest story was this weekend’s victors, the Nashville Stampede.

The Broadway Boys swept the weekend and matched a franchise record four wins in a row in the process. They finished the weekend emphatically by covering four bulls for 358.50 points, more than any other team has scored in a single game this year.

They’re 4-1 and have racked up more points than any team in the league. They are already a quarter of the way to last year’s win total of 15.

With that, let’s go day by day through the entire weekend in OKC.

Friday, July 31

The Missouri Thunder took the first win of the weekend besting the New York Mavericks 180.95-178.15.

Paulo Eduardo Rossetto immediately scored for the Thunder, covering Tigger for 91 points. Missouri scored again soon after, with Felipe Furlan covering Getcha Some for 89.95.

However, the Mavericks fought back with a late push from Mauricio Gulla Moreira and João Henrique Lucas, who scored 89.3 and 88.85 to bring the Mavericks within three points of the Thunder.

With a chance to earn the Mavericks’ first win of the season, Marco Rizzo was bucked off Nobody in 5.42 seconds, keeping the Mavericks winless.

The Carolina Cowboys fought through some growing pains to secure a 89.05-0 win against the Texas Rattlers.

The Rattlers came into Oklahoma City atop the leaderboard as the only undefeated team at 2-0, but couldn’t get anything going Friday night, ending Day 1 with a zero.

The Cowboys started Thiago Salgado, Guilherme Valleiras, and Keyshawn Whitehorse on Friday night, all of whom joined the team this offseason and have yet to carve out their roles. They also welcomed back Clay Guiton, who had been out since February, to the starting lineup.

Salgado was the difference maker on Friday, covering Dirty Honey for his first qualified ride as a Cowboy.

The game between the Kansas City Outlaws and Florida Freedom went down to the wire, with the Freedom finding a 179.4-89.15 win.

Alex Cerqueira struck first for the Freedom, covering Show Me The Money for 88.95.

Eric Henrique Domingos struck back and took the lead for the Outlaws, covering Milestone for 89.15 in a re-ride opportunity.

Despite a quick buckoff from two-time MVP John Crimber that left him visibly frustrated, the Freedom found salvation in Ethan Winckler.

Winckler hadn’t covered a Premier Series bull since September of 2025, but with the odds against him, Winckler rode Lights Out for a career-high 90.45 points and won the game for the Freedom.

The Ridge Riders scored the most points on Day 1 in their 261.7-87.35 win over the Austin Gamblers.

The Gamblers got on the board first when two-time MVP Jose Vitor Leme was 87.35 on Mo Money, but it was the Gamblers’ lone score of the night. In fact, no other bull rider even made it past the four-second mark for the Gamblers on Friday.

The Ridge Riders, however, were on point, hearing the horn on three of their five outs. Eduardo Aparecido, Everton Natan da Silva, and Murilo Henrique de Oliveira were the trio that rode for Arizona.

The Nashville Stampede played spoiler on Day 1, defeating the home-team Oklahoma Wildcatters 176.9-91.2.

Rogério Venâncio scored first for the Stampede and was 88.85 on CID’s Kid.

Kaiden Loud, who left the Stampede for the Wildcatters this offseason, had the best ride of the night, answering with 91.2 on Cookie to give the Wildcatters the lead.

But Loud’s Day 1 MVP-winning performance wasn’t enough to silence his former team amongst the roar of the home crowd.

Riquelmi Silva, who joined the Stampede this offseason, walked it off in a re-ride opportunity, covering Smooth Violation for 88.05 and the win.

Saturday, Aug. 1

Paulo Edaurdo Rossetto and the Thunder again started their night hot and improved to 2-0 in Oklahoma with a victory over the Ridge Riders.

Rossetto was once again the first to ride and the first to score, this time with an 89.95 on Hard Candy.

But it was Macaulie Leather who stole the show for the Thunder. The Aussie was a career-high 90 on Running Red for his first qualified ride this season.

The Ridge Riders couldn’t replicate any of their Day 1 magic, going scoreless, even with a re-ride opportunity.

The Outlaws’ supporting cast and smart use of a challenge led to their 175.75 – 170.8 win over the Mavericks on Saturday night.

Eric Henrique Domingos rode a second consecutive bull, Bowser, for 88.7. Sandro Batista followed his teammate and was 87.05 on Young Buck to gain a two-bull lead on the Mavericks.

Leandro Zampollo, who finished the 2026 UTB season in 9th, was the first to score for the Mavericks. He covered Stinger for 83.2 in his first non-exhibition Team Series ride.

2026 World Finals Event Champion Hudson Bolton, in his season debut, was 90 on Kippers Rippers until the Outlaws challenged the ruling, citing a touch. The challenge was successful, as Bolton touched around five seconds, and the Outlaws re-secured the lead.

Bob Mitchell made a valiant effort in a re-ride opportunity, scoring 87.6, but it wasn’t enough to take the lead, and the Mavericks remained winless.

John Crimber was absent from the Freedom’s Day 2 Lineup with a groin injury, and that proved costly, as the Freedom fell to the Stampede 179.6-0.

Alan de Souza and Gustavo Luiz da Silva shined for the Nashville, riding for 89.95 and 89.65 as the Stampede coasted to another victory.

Thiago Salgado was 89 out of the gate for the Cowboys, and despite a trio of re-ride opportunities, the Cowboys failed to put anymore scores on the board Saturday against the Gamblers.

Jose Vitor Leme snatched the lead from the Cowboys and earned Day 2’s MVP award with his 91.15 score on Oyster Creek Brawler and Dalton Kasel sealed the win for the Gamblers with an 87.6-point ride on Smooth Violation.

The final game of Saturday night was a tale of two very different teams, the Wildcatters failed to put a score on the board while the Rattlers were firing on all cylinders, covering 4-of-5, three of them for more than 88.7 points.

In the end, it was a 352.7-0 thumping.

Sunday, Aug. 2

John Crimber returned from his groin injury and secured a win for the Freedom against the Sage Kimzey-less Gamblers.

The Gamblers scored first with Dener Barbosa picking up his first qualified ride of the season on CID’s Kid for 89.3 points.

João Lucas Campos responded for the Freedom and was 89.15 on Rankenstein, but not enough to take the lead.

Crimber was then 89.5 on Rock ‘n Roll and took the lead.

The Gamblers lacked the juice needed to respond, and fell to 2-3 on the season.

The Freedom, though, improved to 3-2 and sit in third place overall in the league.

In the second game of the day, Julio Cesar Marques got his first qualified ride of the weekend and got the Thunder out to an 88.55-point lead before Brady Fielder responded with 89.25 for the Rattlers.

Those were the only two qualified rides of the game, although Paulo Eduardo Rossetto was 0.3 seconds away from a perfect weekend, which would have made the difference in the game.

Feidler improved to 3-for-5 on the year with all of scores being at least 88 points.

Meanwhile, Rossetto leads the MVP race with 269.45 aggregate points across his first five outs.

Both teams finished the weekend 2-1. The Rattlers sit in second place in the standings with a 4-1 record, while the Thunder are in fourth at 3-2.

Nashville solidified themselves as the Wildcatter Days champions with their third win of the event against the Outlaws.

Outlaw Sandro Batista scored 90.2 on Walk Hard to improve to 3-for-5 on the season, but was the only Outlaw to score on Sunday.

On the other side, four Stampede riders combined for a weekend-high 358.5 points to help them end the weekend at 4-1.

The Mavericks are on the opposite end of the standings as they fell to 0-5 with a 267.45-0 loss to the Carolina Cowboys, who were 2-1 in Oklahoma.

Thiago Salgado completed a perfect weekend with an 88.4-point ride and was bested by his brother Adriano, who was 88.65. Jake Lockwood, younger brother of Jess who is also a member of the Cowboys, was 90.4.

To end the weekend, the Oklahoma Wildcatters pulled off a miraculous come-from-behind 179.4-176.1 victory against Arizona to end their homestand with a win.

While Luciano de Castro struggled and missed his third ride of the weekend for the Ridge Ridgers, Eduardo Aparecido and Murilo Henrique de Oliveira made up for it, each covering their second bulls of the weekend and giving Arizona a two-bull lead.

The Wildcatters couldn’t score, and it looked like they would forfeit another loss in front of the home crowd.

But with two re-ride opportunities left and two rides behind, the Wildcatters needed both to score and both to score well. Kaiden Loud and Kase Hitt each faced must-ride opportunities one after the other, and amazingly, both scored big under pressure. Loud was 89.75 on Woody, which put him second in the MVP standings with 268.7 on the season. Hitt walked it off with an 89.65, giving the Wildcatters their home win.

The Ridge Riders couldn’t do anything but watch as they suffered a heartbreaking loss that put them 2-3 on the year.
