There is just one bracket remaining to determine who is moving on in San Antonio following the conclusion of Bracket 4.

Reserve World Champion Sam Petersen topped Bracket 4 in the bareback riding, nabbing two checks along the way for a total of $4,954. He made the highest-marked ride of the rodeo so far with 89.5 points to win Round 2 and also finished second in the First Round with an 85.5.

Roedy Ferrel earned the second qualifier spot with a third-place finish in the First Round and a second-place finish in the Second Round with 87 points. Ferrel earned $3,853, tying with Cole Reiner.

Reiner and Nick Pelke rounded out the Semifinal qualifiers, as they won the First and Third Rounds, respectively.

Bracket 4 featured blazing times across all three rounds in the steer wrestling. After there were zero runs of 3.8 seconds or faster in the first three brackets, all three winning times did so in Bracket 4.

Rowdy Parrott finished as the third qualifier but struck first with a 3.7-second run to win Round 1. It was the fastest run in San Antonio until Ty Erickson made a lightning-fast 3.4 to win the Second Round that same day.

Erickson also won the Third Round with a 3.8 but still finished as the second qualifier.

Dakota Eldridge was the top qualifier, thanks to his consistency. He placed second in every round, turning in three straight runs of 4.0 seconds or faster, netting $6,055.

Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira were dominant in the team roping and were the first pair to put distance between themselves and the rest of the field, winning $6,055, almost $2,500 more than the next-closest team.

They were 4.8 seconds or faster on every run and placed in each round, including a win in Round 2 with a 3.8-second run. Cyle Denison and Lane Mitchell earned $3,578 as the second qualifiers.

Dustin Egusquiza and JC Flake also advanced, matching the fastest time of the event with a 3.7 to win Round 1. They tied Bubba Buckaloo/Joseph Harrison for the final Semifinal spot.

Reigning World Champion Statler Wright made a massive splash in the First Round of Bracket 4 in the saddle bronc riding with an event-high 90 points on Diamond G Rodeo’s Lindsey’s Thunder. He was then 85.5 for second in the Second Round. Wright earned $4,954 and the top qualifying position.

Damian Brennan responded with an 88-point win in Round 3 to secure second overall. He finished with $4,403. Layton Green ($3,578) and Brody Wells made it a quartet of NFR qualifiers moving on.

Fort Worth tie-down roping champion Kincade Henry never won a round outright but split Round 1 and placed again in Round 3 to earn $4,404 and finish as the top money earner.

Trevor Hale finished as the second qualifier after placing third in the Second Round and winning the Third with an 8.6-second run. Hale earned $4,403, just a dollar behind Henry.

Shane Hanchey’s steady placements kept him in contention, while Jake Pratt’s Round 3 split secured his advancement as well.

Consistency ruled Bracket 4 in the barrel racing, as Sharon Gow placed in all three rounds, including second in Round 3 with a 14.26, to finish as the top qualifier with $4,404.

Carlee Otero won Round 2 in 14.23 seconds and added another check in Round 3 to tie Anita Ellis at $3,853. Tricia Aldridge’s 14.18-second Round 1 win was enough to secure the reigning Reserve World Champion the final Semifinal spot.

Bracket 4 opened with zero qualified rides in the bull riding and finished with only six total.

After no one heard the horn in Round 1, Tristan Mize topped both the Second and Third Rounds. He was 87 points in each and earned $6,238 as the top qualifier.

Ruger Piva finished second in both rounds to secure $5,138 and the next qualifier spot, while Jackson Ward and Fulton Rutland each nabbed a third-place finish, rounding out the four advancing bull riders.

Jordi Edens-Mitchell was the top advancing breakaway roper after she won Round 2 with a 1.9 and also took second in Round 1 with a 2.4. Powered by a third-place finish in Round 3 and a second-place finish in Round 1, Braylee Shepherd took second in the bracket.

The Semifinal qualifiers were rounded out by Round 1 winner Jordan Jo Hollabaugh and Round 3 winner Bailey Bates, who stopped the clock at 1.6 seconds.
