At over $558,105, the St. Paul Rodeo is the highest paying Fourth of July rodeo and winning here can quickly change a cowboy’s season.

Jess Pope won the bareback riding, going 88.5 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Land Of Fancy. It was his best score since late March, when he was 93 points to win Round 2 of PRCA Extreme Bares & Broncs.

The 2022 World Champion earned $16,593 for his eight seconds of work and currently sits in eighth place in the PRCA World Standings with $99,751.

No. 16 Jayco Roper was a close second, scoring 88 points. He earned $12,721.

Bulldoggers Ty Erickson and Cash Robb tied at 4.0 seconds each for the First Round win, while Gavin Soileau won the Second Round with an event-fastest 3.5. But it was eight-time NFR qualifier Will Lummus who won the Average, coming in at 8.4 seconds on two. He narrowly beat World No. 1 Tyler Waguespack, who was 8.5, and 2025 St. Paul champion Erickson, who was 8.6.

Lummus took home $12,206 and improved to No. 24 in the World Steer Wrestling Standings.

No. 9 Brenten Hall and No. 5 Wyatt Cox won the team roping Average in St. Paul. They were 10.2 seconds on two, placing seventh and fifth in the two rounds. The duo took home $11,229 each.

Tyler Tryan and Nicky Northcott were 4.5 seconds to win the First Round. Dawson and Dillon Graham were an event-fastest 4.3 to win the Second Round. Neither pair finished in the money in the Average, however.

Cash Wilson was in familiar territory, going 87.5 points on Big Bend Rodeo’s Major Huckleberry to win St. Paul for the second straight year. He beat a trio of 86.5-point rides from Waitley Sharon, Q Taylor and Ryder Wright for the $16,551 first-place prize.

Wilson was 91 points to win St. Paul in 2025 and has now made more than $30,000 in St. Paul over the last two years.

With $55,484 in season earnings, Wilson is now ranked No. 20 and is searching for his first NFR qualification.

Cory Solomon and Riley Webb traded outstanding runs in St. Paul, each finishing with an aggregate time of 15.4 seconds to share the tie-down title. World No. 1 Webb won the First Round with a 7.5 and was fifth in the Second Round with a 7.9 while No. 16 Solomon placed second and third with runs of 7.6 and 7.8.

They were 1.6 seconds faster than the next-fastest cowboy in the Average. It’s Webb’s second straight victory at St. Paul. He was also 15.4 seconds to win in 2025. Webb took home $16,047, but Solomon earned the most with $16,410.

Anneliese McCurry was the fastest barre racer in St. Paul, winning with a 17.16-second run and earning $13,459. 2025 NFR qualifier Hayle Gibson-Stillwell finished second with a 17.29 to earn $10,767.

World No. 2 bull rider Noah Lee picked up one of his three Independence Day weekend rodeo wins at St. Paul with a dominant performance. The top rookie was 89 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Humboldt, 2.5 points more than second. Lee added $16,597 to his season earnings, bringing his total to $172,321.
